Inserting an Image

1. Draw a new layer in the work area.

2. Click on the image icon in the Common Objects palette.

3. A dialogue box will pop up that asks you what image you want to insert.

4. Find the image on your computer's hard drive or on your floppy disk.

5. Highlight it and then click ok.

Again, you can make the layer active by clicking on it. Then, you can resize or move it.

It is best not to resize an image in Dreamweaver®. If you want to change the size of an image, do it in a program like Photoshop® or ImageReady®.

Before inserting an image, you should save your file. See page15 for information on how to save your file.
