Converting Layers to a Table

This is the function that makes me love Dreamweaver.

Just for fun, draw about four or five different sized and shaped layers.

Click on "Modify" then "Layout Mode" then "Convert Layers to Table"

You have some decisions to make.

I usually check "smallest" and tell it to collapse empty cells less than 10 pixels wide.

I also like to use transparent gifs to fill the empty spaces. This ensures the table will look the same on every browser.

I also like to center the page. I have a very large monitor in my office, and if things are not centered, they can sometimes look very strange because they are way over on the left side of the browser.

Dreamweaver has made my table for me with the least effort possible. This is really a great layout tool.
