Modifying the Colors of your Links and Page

1. Click on "Modify" and then "Page Properties."

2. Enter your title. Search engines use titles to help them search, so your title should be as specific as possible.

3. If you want to have a background image, instead of a color, choose "choose" and find the image you want.

4. Choose your background color by clicking on the white box. Colors are in hexadecimal value. If you would like to know more about hexadecimal colors, you can find the information on my web page at: http://bama.ua.edu/~slucas/HTML/colors.html

5. Choose your text color.

6. Choose the color for your links. If you don't change the color, the default will be used, which is most often blue.

Visited Links are those that the viewer has already followed.

Active Links mean the color of the link as the viewer is pressing the mouse button.

Dreamweaver® has a very nice color picker for background, text, and all the links. All you need to do is click on the color you want.

If you want the official University color, use #990000.
